I made this clock about 12 months ago for Nate's room, now it has to be put out of harms way, he always looks at it through the door of the cabinet that I have it in, he is not 100% at the moment, I can tell because he doesn't pester me to read 6,387,000 books at night when he goes to bed. lol. He is actually asleep in my arms as I am typing this, there is a big storm with heaps of wind and rain in this one, as long as it doesn't destroy anything, that is fine. Hope it reaches the dry parts of our Country as well.
Scrapping pictures of my 6 year old son has been my favourite thing to do, I now enjoy making cards as well, I work for Child Protection Services during the week days and have the luxury of taking and picking my little boy up from school, we have built our little dream house, have 2 chickens (Lolly & Dolly), 2 poodles and 2 loud parrots (Trevor and Charley) and fantastic friends and neighbours.

This layout is from a challenge at The Scrappin Kats, we swapped our photos and did a layout for that person, I had Kris who is on the Design Team and I was feeling a bit out of my comfort zone but she loves it, and the comments from the gallery are all good so I feel great about it now. A beautiful photo made it easier to pick papers, once again I just used a bit of everything. In hindsight, I hope we do another one of these, nothing like accepting a challenge.

My scrapping style has yet to be named, ecclectic is probably the closest, but in saying that each layout looks so different to me, must depend on my mood I guess, we had flash flooding here in November and had a big clean up afterwards, there were so many shots and I cannot ever pick which ones to put on a layout, so they all go on! I used some packing out of a box which is bright green, punched 2 holes in it and added some black ribbon from the strings that clothes come with, an old My Mind's eye transparency and a bracket with covered with scrap paper, although it is only to show Nate in the future the antics he got up to on this day, I like the simplicity of it.
My little Spaghetti Monster

Most of my layouts consist of Nate, he is my inspiration, he does so many cute things I cannot stop taking photos of him, this layout was a sketch challenge from The Scrappin Kats, the website I frequent every day, I love the girls on it and you upload your layout and go into the drawer for monthly prizes. I used many different papers for this, Basic Grey is the cut out embellishments, Stampin Up - Circle in the background, Making Memories Journal spot, I did some stamping using Kelly Panacci stamps, A2Z Scraplets title, K&C Co butterfly and it is Fancy Pants paper for base cardstock.
PS. Can still get away with putting pink on his layouts, I just love it and he is too young to disagree.
Hot Today
Says storms this afternoon, certainly is hot enough, Nate and I did housework and played a bit this morning. He had his sleep, and mum has caught up with her chores and I am planning to do some experimenting with acetate and making some embellishments from it. Reading this Creative Imaginations Book on everything you can do and I feel inspired to give it a try. Let's see how I go.
