My Little Shoebox Sketch challenge. Handmade by Suzanne

Hello everyone,  hope you and your families are well. Well the scrapping bug didn't take long to hit me and I am so happy. I have missed it so much. The above layout is for the sketch challenge at My Little Shoe Box this month, I just scraped it in. This is Hog Senior, and he has an obsession too, with balls, at 14.5 yrs he will still chase a ball 24/7. God Bless this gorgeous animal.

The layout below is for Handmade by Suzanne's sketch this month, Sam Hauzer designed the sketch and I just loved it. Just before Christmas our Lady's Group went to the Queen's Park restaurant for lunch and we drove Dawn, Nate took her hand and said "Follw me", it was just so cute.

It is super hot here at the moment and with all the rain we had it seems like Summer is finally here (well the heat) anyway. We have a belated Australia Day party in the park this afternoon so Nate will have a great time, but you know I look forward to it, but will be looking forward to coming home to scrap tonight too. Told you I have the bug.....

My little Shoebox

Happy Monday everyone, hope you are all bounding with energy to start the new week - yeh right....there is just something I still don't like about Monday's, not sure what it is exactly. Well my mojo is creeping back but very slowly, I did sit on the lounge whilst watching X-factor and cut some things out which is certainly a start.

The above layout I made a couple of weeks ago before Mr. Mojo left and I just love the bright colours of Nate's swimming outfit and it made using bright coloured My Little Shoebox papers just perfect. I hope you like it, this is when we took Nate to Wynnum Manly to the park there, we all had such a wonderful day. Uncle Col and Aunty Jan drove us and we ate her super yum corned beef sandwiches for lunch.

Nate has his own craft supplies and as I was scrapping away I was watching him amuse himself and it all seemed so nice, until the frantic cries filled the loungeroom, as I went over he had got some of his super large pipe cleaners and tied his foot to the bottom drawer of the tv cabinet, well what is a mother to do, I calmed him down and then ran for the camera, not missing this one, I was doing whatever I could to stop myself from laughing as in his deserperation to get his foot away he hadn't even noticed it was just twisted ever so slightly and his little foot came away so easy........haven't seen him try this since....he he he boys hey...

PS. Tanya, thanks so much for your encouraging words re: the Get picky layout, I took on board what you said about being too hard on myself. Thank god for wonderful blogging friends to boost your confidence when you are down on yourself..

My little Shoebox August Sketch, Artastic Challenge for September

Morning everyone, hope your week is going well so far, just over hump day so that means it's downhill to the weekend, busy week so far, went to Amanda's on Monday, Tuesday's lady's group and yesterday, well just caught up with blogging and you know just how when you sit down at the computer you can sought of lose track of time........way too much inspiration out there

How gorgeous are thes amazing My Little Shoebox papers, this layout took me quite a while to complete, I hand cut those little green 3/4 scollops around the circle, and the banner also, I just love fussy cutting - can you tell...

Ingredients: base "Green - Treehouse range", the circle I used a plate as a template, this paper is also from the "Treehouse range", and the little cut out cars with are just so super gorgeous are from the "Away we Go - road trip" range, the pink base for the banners is from "Simple Life - Front Porch" now the gorgeous doily and that awesome owl button come from Purple Pumpkin, gotta visit this one, and the letters are felt thickers from Making Memories. This Frida Kahlo painting is the Artastic inspiration painting for September, it is a great challenge this month, the criteria is for 1 point have a photo of you or family member with a pet, 2 points do the layout in shades of brown and orange and for 3 points add a tropical flower. Now below you will find my submission, I based my layout on a Ali Edwards Sketch because I really was more excited about doing the journalling on this layout, these two have a special relationship and I just had to document the memory of it. I hope you like it. Here is the link to Artastic Challenge site, and I would love if you decide to do a layout you would mention that MEL sent you, the main reason is to let Shazza know we love her site and love to encourage others to play along.

Before I go, I have to tell you what I caught my boy doing the other night, I was sitting at the kitchen table (where I scrap) and low and behold he grabs the chux and t-towels and starts taking the griller etc out of the oven, and places it on the floor (cold not hot) and starts cleaning, well I got up as quick as I could and grabbed the camera and well, not sure why he wanted to do this but I am so glad I have the proof that it happenned.

Please Note:  the picture you are seeing here does not depict the mess that is on the kitchen floor whilst he is working on the inside........and once the cleaning duties were over there was an even bigger mess for mum to clean, but in saying that, wow I was still super impressed with the attempt....
