A2Z - Challenge -I love Bax -Crate Toy Box

Hello dear friends, hope the weather is awesome where you are, gorgeous and sunny here, and Nate and I are having a lazy Sunday, going to take the dogs for a walk to a friends later but just relaxing this morning.

I created this layout for the A2Z challenge using a photo I have used before but I wanted to document how Nate calls Max our 16yr old poodle BAX. I know he can say Max but he just chooses to say it. I bought this poodle die for my sizzix about 3 years ago and would you believe it is the first time I have ever used it.....I bet you can believe it.

I used the Crate Toy Box papers here, backed the sticker sheet onto black to give it some extra oomph. and those little circles are just the end of a glue bottle, I have added some of the gorgeous Purple Pumpkin products I bought recently and also the gorgeous felt heart and pin from My2angels. Which reminds me she is having a HUGE SALE, so bargains to be had...

A close up of the gorgeous PP embellies and my glue bottle top stamping. Those pins from My2angels come in super handy to add the date too.

And this time I decided to add the journalling around the page a bit, just had to get this story down.

I layered the red alphas over some stickers for a little extra dimension.

Hope you are all well, Blogger is so far okay, so I will spend some time visiting you all now. Have a great day. Melxx

Scrap the Boys, White with one, Nate Dog Dies

Morning dear friends, hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I drove down to the Gold Coast (which is truly an accomplishment in itself for me) to meet Tracy from My2Angels, I do not recommend this trip if you don't want to be overwhelmed with gorgeous, amazing products to see and feel, it is so always so much better for me to see and feel the products and the good news is Tracy is moving and will have a Bricks and Mortar shop, yay for me but not for my bank account.
(more about my scrap weekend next post)

I hope you like the above layout, this was done for Scrap the Boys, (so glad they are back) and this documents the day Nate had his soccer break up, I love these photos of him with his tropy, and when he received it, he ogled it and then turned around, put it in the air and sang out YAYYYYY....

This is my entry for White with 1 this month, my artisian shapes are my use of the Pink Paislee Artisian elements and transparencies. Nate is being held upside down by Uncle Col here, and I still smile when I see that gorgeous smile of his.

While at Tracy's, I got to see her amazing Off the Page work, I bought all the gorgeous products so I could have a go at this stunning creation, everything here is from her amazing shop and these gorgeous houses are available HERE and the stars HERE (which look awesome with kindy glitz), flowers HERE, the embossing goodies HERE and the gorgeous 10 x 10 memory frame HERE.  My camera skills just don't do this piece justice, it is just amazing.

I am off to check out your blogs and will share my photos and give aways that Tracy was so kind to let me share with you all.

Nate Dog died yesterday at the age of 41, after complications from having a stroke, I first heard his name when I was younger and into the rap type of music that was around then, I loved this name and from then on vowed if I ever had a boy I would use it, as Nate is my only child, I was lucky he was a boy as I got to use it. I often call him Nate Dog.....

Love to you all. Melxx

Page 1, she has him right where she wants him.....

Page 2, "Oh Lolita (what a gorgeous name) I cannot get up, please HELP"

Before I share my Glee Club layout I wanted to tell you about an awesome

The above layout is my (Alternative Theme Layout) for Glee Club at Soul Scrappers. You had to make an alternative type layout and use a word from a "Train" song title, I used ORDINARY....hope you like it.

And lastly a photo of Master Nate at Seaworld looking at the Polar Bear....

Hope you all are having a wonderful week, will catch up soon. Love Melxx

Scrap the Boys,

Morning everyone, Hope this post finds you and your family's well and happy. Well it looks like a fine and sunny day today after the downpour we had during the night. Nate and I are going to Storytelling at Riverlink Shopping Centre kids program today, he gets to make a fairy wand and some other crafty things. He really won't care he just loves crafts and there are other little boys going too......

The above layout is for Scrap the Boys this month. You know I just love my Sass Lass papers, can't go wrong with the amazing array of colours, and I got a baby pin, threaded on of My2angels camera charms on it and really like the effect. I have had these Sass Lass letters for quite a while, you know when you just hoard something because you really love them, well it was time to get them out and the amazing cutout of the superhero was from a cut out of a card in a rak from Glorygirl - thanks Julie. Oh and the flourish is by Flourish with a bling.

I hope you like my layout, and again thanks to all of you, by visiting your blogs I have my mojo back to better than ever, you all motivate me to get into my scrapping with your wonderful craftiness and talent.

Thank you so much to the lovely girls who gave me blog awards this week, you are both very special to me, I you all have a fantastic Wednesday and will hop over to see you soon. Love Melx

Nook layouts from Uni, Nate and Pinecone.

Okay, you know when you have lost Mr. Mojo when you search your photos for layouts that you haven't shown yet.....This was from Nook Uni Home Economics - I made the circle flower under the blue prima by sewing down one side then pulling it, and sewed the banner and number to the fabric which was an old linen serviette I found.

This layout was for the very first class which you had to use several types of letters on your layout, I used the negatives of some MME's stickers and stamped some and mounted some onto acetate to add some height to them.

In case Tracy from My2Angels wonders why when I place an order I always add 2 pinecone inks, it isn't because I do that much scrapping, just that Nate loves to be creative. lol..........For those of you with boys, is all this creativity normal for boys and for those with girls, what little things do they get up to, .............I mean I love it, never a dull moment and you know I end up laughing at most things.......sometimes wish I could enter his little head.....

Hope you all have a great start to the week. Love you all, Melxx

My2angels, Purple Pumpkin, Nate

Hi everyone, well would you believe it is still overcast, showery and well just not great outside weather for small boys or poodles. lol   So today we went to the Ipswich Global Gallery to the Circus fun events there, he had a great time, and then to the Mall to decorate a hat for National Slip Slop Slap Day. Wow they have a day for everything.

The above layout was created using the papers from Purple Pumpkin they are Fancy Pants. I love the gorgeous colours in them, this is Grampsy helping Superman learn to fly. He is sooo cute in his little suit.

The layout above is using the gorgeous new Prima papers (Road Trip Collection) they are gorgeous, and just perfect if you love fussy cutting too, the felt frame, papers and gorgeous little puppy charm are from my2angels, and of course the cute little car button is Purple Pumpkin.

The artiste at work making his hat perfect.

And having a boogie at the Slip Slap Slop Show.

Still doing Nook Uni, 2nd last week, hope all of you are super well, catch up with you all in the next day or so on your blogs. Love to you all, Melxx

Guest DT My2Angels and My2Angels Blog Hop Rak Drawers

Hi Everyone, I hope your weekends were all wonderful, I was without computer and had my trusty Computer man Vince out to fix it today, $200 and by 4pm she was up and running. Expensive little suckers these computers. The above layout is one I made for my Guest Design Team position at My2Angels this month. Every item here is from her wonderful site. The instructions are below and all the products are available from the shop at My2Angels

I used a template to trace around some co-ordinations cardstock then inked it then gave it a spray with glimmermist, I placed some old letters on some cardstock and traced around them and then cut them out individually, I glued them on to some acetate (so I could raise them off the page). I matte my photo with Kaiser paper side 2 and then made strips using both sides of this paper under the photo, above and below these strips I added some old music paper. The journalling is using a circle of the pp and a gorgeous October Afternoon label sticker the red underneath is a huge daisy flower with the ends of its petals cut. and the circle saying reserved is a cut out from Collage Press Knave of Hearts paper and a small mulberry flower again with some ends cut off. Lastly I stamped a little party hat (unknown brand) and added it to the a in the title.

The layout below is again for my Guest appearance this month and the stamp I used and all the ingredients are:

Started with some co-ordinations cardstock and doodled around the outside with a zig pen then cut off the scollop of the Crate paper Prudence paper and glued it over the top of some Kaiser paper and made my own die cut paper, using the opposite side of the Kaiser paper, I made a piece with a hand doodled bottom edge coming out from under the photo and over the top I placed a strip of Pink Paislee Artisian tape and added some diamontes on the tape and bling to form a photo corner. I stamped a flower onto the left over patterned paper and some white mesh fabric, cut them out, placed a rhinestone in their middles. The journalling spot is cut out of this gorgeous Pink Paislee journal card and the little letters are Carolee Creations and the numbers are cut out of Collage Press patterned paper, everything is inked with pinecone ink.

Okay, it's time to draw the winners of the My2Angels Blog Hop Raks, and we have drawn the winner of the major Prize RAK is LYNNDA HOSNI super congratulations my girl.
